Lyon and Healy. COLLECTION OF OF RARE OLD VIOLIN CATALOGUES. Compiled and Bound by Ernest Doring. Chicago, 1916-1929.

Ernest Doring bound the Lyon and Healy catalogs, 26th through 35th editions, in 2 large volumes. (minor wear to the binding of the 2 volumes) Volume I includes catalogs 26-30, 1916-1919. Volume II includes catalogs 31-35, 1919-1929. The two volumes have the Ernest N. Doring Ex Libris book plate on the endpapers. The catalogs have all ben bound with the original front covers. There is some writing in a number of the catalogs, presumably by Doring. In general, all of the catalogs are in very good to near fine or better condition, except for a couple of pages with a little wear, the writing, and the fact that some of them have been trimmed, probably so they would fit in the binding. Stll, all in all, this is a wonderful set, with a much higher value if purchased separately. It is unlikely that a set in this good condition could be found very easily. Unique. $1250.00 Sold!
